Stakka (Cargo Industries)
Mit 32 Jahren und davon 15 Jahren Musikerfahrung auf dem Buckel, hat Shaun Morris aka Stakka schon so einiges gesehen, gehört und vor allem gemacht. Zusammen mit seinem Freund aus Kindertagen Keir Tyrer aka K.Tee, bzw. Nathan Vinall aka Skynet, hat er den Drum and Bass maßgeblich und nachhaltig geprägt. Einerseits durch eine Frische an Remixes und funkigen Einlagen, und andererseits durch sehr technoide und deepe Stücke, aber auf jeden Fall immer Dancefloor-orientiert. Allen 41 Veröffentlichungen auf dem altbekannten Label Underfire voran, steht das Album 'Clockwork', das so ungaubliche Stücke wie 'Decoy', 'Biosfear' und den Remix von Afrika Bambaataa's 'Planet Rock' enthält. Die Tunes werden heute genauso gespielt, wie auch die Remix-EP.
Zusammen mit K.Tee, Friction und Skinny (Nu Balance) hat Stakka vor garnicht allzu langer Zeit die Formation 'The Militia' gegründet, und geniale Tunes wie 'Paranoia' und andere hervorgebracht.
Nach der Trennung von seinem Buddy Skynet, startete Stakka Anfang 2003 das Label Cargo Inustries, um sich auf seine eigenen Projekte zu konzentrieren. Nebenbei läuft noch das Label Payload, auf dem noch unbekanntere Artists ihre Tunes droppen können.
